Oregon’s basketball team made the cut when Nathan Bittle reduced his college choices down to four on Friday.

The five-star center from Crater High School will choose between Arizona, UCLA, Gonzaga and the Ducks.

The 6-foot-10, 175-pound Bittle is ranked as the No. 9 prospect in the 2021 class by 247Sports.com and No. 18 by Rivals.com. Both recruiting services list him as the second-best player at his position.

Bittle averaged 25 points, 11 rebounds, 4.5 blocks and 2.5 assists as a junior for the Comets to earn Class 5A player of the year honors. Crater was set to play Silverton in the state semifinals when the season ended early due to COVID-19.

Oregon also remains in the mix for another big man in the state.

Ben Gregg, a 6-foot-9, 210-pound forward from Clackamas, is still considering the Ducks along with Arizona and Virginia among other schools, according to Andrew Nemec of The Oregonian.

Gregg is a four-star recruit ranked as the No. 60 prospect in 2021 by 247Sports.com and No. 72 by Rivals.com. Both sites rank him among the top 15 power forwards in the class.

Gregg averaged 21.1 points, 9.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game as a junior at Clackamas, which was slated to open the Class 6A tournament against Central Catholic when the season was canceled.
