Oregon added to the defensive side of its next recruiting class.
The Ducks picked up a verbal commitment on Saturday from Keanu Williams, a 6-foot-5, 290-pound defensive end from Clovis (Calif.) High School. Williams is a four-star recruit ranked among the Top 20 players at his position by both Rivals and 247Sports.
Williams picked the Ducks over Stanford, UCLA and USC.
"I will be furthering my academic and athletic career at the University of Oregon," Williams said in a video before he and his mom showed off University of Oregon T-shirts.

Oregon’s 2021 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 3 in the nation by Rivals and No. 5 by 247Sports, has been heavy on offense with 10 of 17 commitments coming on that side of the ball.
Williams joins Terrell Tilmon as the two defensive linemen in the class. Oregon also has pledges from two linebackers and three defensive backs.
"Defense got a whole lot better!!," tweeted Brandon Buckner, a linebacker from Arizona who has committed to play at Oregon. "We coming after that QB!! Welcome home family."
Williams had 82 tackles and eight sacks as a junior at Clovis. He plans to graduate early and enroll at Oregon in January.
"I knew about two months ago this was the place for me," Williams told 247Sports.com. "My family was going wild and super happy when I committed. I feel comfortable with the coaching staff and have a strong relationship with them. They have what I want to study and I just think it was the best all around fit for me and I'm excited to get this done. I want to be able to focus on school and my senior year so making a summer commitment was always the plan for me and I'm excited to get it done."
