Oregon added to its 2021 football recruiting class with a verbal commitment from four-star cornerback Jaylin Davies on Friday afternoon.

The 6-foot-1, 165-pound Davies is ranked as the 12th-best recruit at his position by 247Sports.com. He made his commitment during a video that showed him at a barber shop before standing up to show off an Oregon shirt.

Davies, who has been invited to play in the Under Armour All-American Game, picked the Ducks over Ohio State, USC and Arizona State.

Davies is a high school teammate of wide receiver Kyron Ware-Hudson, another member of Oregon’s upcoming recruiting class whose brother, Keyon, is a defensive tackle for the Ducks.

The Ducks have also added running backs C.J. Verdell and Sean Dollars, linebacker Mase Funa and brothers Andrew and Austin Faoliu from the Santa Ana, Calif. powerhouse program in the past.

Davies is the 14th player to commit to the Ducks, who are ranked No. 6 in recruiting rankings by 247Sports. Junior-college transfer Jadarrius Perkins and three-star Darren Barkins as cornerbacks in the class.
