MORAGA, Calif. — Rachel Cid hit a two-run home run, and two Oregon pitchers combined on a one-hitter Wednesday in a 4-0 nonconference softball win at Saint Mary’s.

Brooke Yanez ran her record to 9-1 by allowing one hit and three walks while striking out seven over the first six innings for the No. 9 Ducks (22-2).

Samaria Diaz struck out one in a hitless seventh inning to complete the shutout.

Oregon took a 2-0 lead into the top of the seventh inning before doubling its lead on Cid’s home run with Deijah Pangilinan on base.

The Ducks scored single runs in the second and fourth innings on RBI singles from Jasmine Sievers and and Mya Felder, respectively.

Oregon finished with 11 hits. Cid was 3-for-4, and Vallery Wong and Sievers had two hits apiece. Terra McGowan had a hit, two walks, a stolen base and scored twice.

The Ducks open Pac-12 Conference play Friday when they begin a three-game series at California.
