HONOLULU - Oregon had its seven-game winning streak snapped when Hawaii defeated the Ducks 6-4 Thursday night at Les Murakami Stadium.
The Rainbow Warriors (9-5) scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth to overcome a 4-1 deficit.
Aaron Zavala had two hits and two RBIs for the Ducks (7-5) while Jack Scanlon and Anthony Hall also had two hits. Kenyon Yovan hit his third homer of the season for UO.
Oregon took the lead with two runs in the first inning when Tanner Smith doubled and Yovan walked before Gabe Matthews was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Zavala reached on a fielders choice that scored Smith before Hall doubled in Yovan.
The Ducks added a run in the third when Sam Novitske singled and Yovan walked before Zavala reached on a fielders choice that scored Novitske. After Hawaii scored in the bottom of the fourth, Yovan homered to lead off the fifth as Oregon took a 4-1 lead.
After Cullen Kafka allowed one unearned run in five innings, Keaton Chase allowed four runs without recording an out in the sixth and Nico Tellache gave up the final run.
