Oregon stretched its winning streak to seven straight games with a 6-1 win over Milwaukee Sunday afternoon at PK Park.

Aaron Zavala went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and Gavin Grant was 3-for-4 with a run and a RBI for the Ducks. Brett Walker threw six scoreless innings before Decker Stedman, Kolby Somers and Hunter Breault each tossed an inning of relief.

Oregon scored two runs in the first inning after Kenyon Yovan doubled and Gabe Matthews walked. Zavala and Sam Olsson followed with consecutive run-scoring singles.

Milwaukee (1-11) closed within 2-1 with a run in the seventh before the Ducks added two runs in the bottom of the inning. Tanner Smith doubled and scored on a single by Evan Williams, who stole second. Yovan, Matthews, and Zavala each walked to bring in Williams.

Oregon (7-4) added a couple runs in the eighth when Sam Novitske singled and Grant followed with a triple. Williams hit a sacrifice fly to score Grant.

San Diego State tops Beavers

SAN DIEGO - Wyatt Hendrie and Brian Leonhardt each homered to lead San Diego State to a 12-11 win over Oregon State.

Andy Armstrong had three hits for OSU (5-6), which dropped two straight at SDSU (7-4). Alex McGarry went 2-for-5 with a home run and five RBIs while Matthew Gretler had three hits, including a homer.

UO softball beats Illinois-Chicago

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oregon bounced back from its first two losses of the season to defeat Illinois-Chicago 2-0 Sunday at the Tulsa/Oklahoma State Invitational.

Samaria Diaz struck out seven in a shutout while allowing five hits. Haley Cruse had two hits for the Ducks (17-2).

Oregon scored both of its runs in the sixth inning when Cruse walked and Terra McGowan reached on an error. After Rachel Cid moved the runners up with a sacrifice, Ariel Carlson hit a two-run single.

Oregon lacrosse falls at UC Davis

UC Davis scored five times in a row during the first half to build a 6-1 lead en route to a 14-8 victory over Oregon at Pape Field.

Oregon junior goalkeeper Alle Dunbar had a season-high 11 saves. Shonly Wallace, Jamie Level, and Hanna Hilcoff each continued their streak of scoring in each game this season for the Ducks, who fell to 1-4.

Ducks fall to UCLA

Oregon’s Emmanuel Coste and Ty Gentry each won a singles match, but No. 22 UCLA defeated the Ducks 4-3 at the Student Tennis Center.

LCC splits doubleheader

Tyson Heinz had three hits and drove in four runs as Lane Community College defeated Edmonds 14-4 in the opening game of a doubleheader. Jayden Frank had three hits and five RBIs for the Titans (3-2-1) while Nathan Sprenger and Jaxon Woodhouse had two hits apiece.

Edmonds won the second game 3-1.
