STILLWATER, Okla. — The No. 10 Oregon softball team suffered its first two losses of the season Saturday, losing 4-3 to Louisville and 5-4 to No. 15 Oklahoma State in nine innings at the Tulsa/Oklahoma State Invitational.

The Ducks fell to 16-2 on the season and will wrap up play in the tournament Sunday against Illinois-Chicago.

Oregon fell to Louisville when the Cardinals scored two runs in the top of the seventh inning . Celene Funk tripled home a run to tie it at 3-3 before Maddy Newman delivered what proved to be the game-winning single.

Funke also had a two-run home run in the third inning to give the Cardinals an early lead before Oregon scored three straight runs. Ariel Carlson doubled home a run in the bottom of the fourth to make it 2-1 before Terra McGowan's RBI double and Rachel Cid's RBI single gave the Ducks a 3-2 lead in the fifth inning.

Cid was 2-for-3 and Haley Cruse was 2-for-4 for the Ducks. Both teams had seven hits. Funke was 2-for-4 and scored twice for the Cardinals and Jenna Servi was 2-for-2.

The Cowgirls won a back-and-forth game against the Ducks by scoring two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning on RBI singles from Sydney Pennington and Chelsea Alexander.

With the score tied at 2-2 after seven innings, each team scored once in the eighth with Oregon's run coming on a bases-loaded walk to Vallery Wong. Oregon took a 4-3 lead in the top of the ninth on a sacrifice fly by McGowan before Oklahoma State (12-5) got the two runs in the bottom of the inning to win.

Allee Bunker was 4-for-5 for the Ducks and Deijah Pangilinan was 2-for-5. Alysen Febrey was 3-for-3 to lead Oklahoma State's 13-hit attack. Pennington and Kiley Naomi were both 2-for-5 and Madison Neighbors was 2-for-4.
