TULSA, Okla. — The No. 10 Oregon softball team picked up two wins Friday at the Tulsa/Oklahoma State Invitational to run its record to 16-0.
The Ducks opened the day with a 12-1 win over Drake in five innings before beating Tulsa 3-2.
Against Tulsa, the Ducks scored all of their runs in the top of the fifth inning. Allee Bunker doubled home the first run, Deijah Pangilinan drove in another run with a sacrifice fly and Shaye Bowden made it a 3-0 Oregon lead with an RBI single.
The Golden Hurricane scored both of their runs in the bottom of the fifth on a Kari Briggs homer, but the Ducks held on for the win.
Bowden and Haley Cruse both went 3-for-4 to spark Oregon's 11-hit attack. Bunker added two hits.
Samaria Diaz allowed four hits and struck out six in pitching into the fifth inning to get the win. Jordan Dail threw three innings of one-hit scoreless relief to finish the game.
The Ducks pounded out 18 hits in the win over Drake. Bunker was 4-for-4 with two doubles and three runs and Bowden went 4-for-4 with two RBIs. Terra McGowan and Ariel Carlson were both 3-for-4. McGowan scored twice and Carlson scored three times and dove in two runs. Rachel Cid scored twice and drove in a pair of runs, including a two-run home run in the second inning.
