Jack Scanlon had three hits including a homer as Oregon completed a three-game sweep of Nevada with a 9-1 win at PK Park.
Gabe Matthews went 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Sam Novitske went 2-for-4 while Tanner Smith had two RBIs and scored twice. Robert Ahlstrom tossed six scoreless innings to earn the victory.
Smith doubled in the first inning and went to third on a balk before scoring on a ground out by Kenyon Yovan. Aaron Zavala reached on an error in the second inning before Scanlon hit a two-run homer.
Oregon (3-4) made it 4-0 with a run in the fifth when Gavin Grant and Novitske hit back-to-back singles and Smith followed with a sacrifice fly.
The Ducks added three runs in the seventh after Novitske, Smith and Yovan all walked. Matthews followed with a three-run double. Oregon scored twice in the eighth as A.J. Miller walked and Scanlon singled before Grant was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Novitske followed with a single that scored Miller before Smith brought in Scanlon on a ground out.
Nevada (0-6) got a run off reliever Christian Ciuffetelli in the ninth inning.
Beavers beat Bulldogs
Andy Armstrong had four hits as Oregon State defeated Mississippi State 7-2 to snap a three-game losing streak. Richie Mascarenas added two hits for OSU.
Nathan Burns struck out six in 5 2/3 innings for Oregon State while allowing three hits and two runs.
OSU softball beats Fullerton
Mariah Mazon struck out nine while tossing a two-hit shutout to lead Oregon State to a 2-0 win over Cal State Fullerton.
Missy Nunes doubled in Izzy Owen in the first inning and Fallon Molnar hit a solo homer in the fifth for OSU.
Ducks finish fifth in Wyoming
Tom Gueant placed third at 6-under par to help the Oregon men’s golf team finish fifth at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate. Guest shot 72 in the final round.
Craig Ronne had the low round of the day for the Ducks with a 70 to finish tied for 33rd with teammate Nate Stember.

No. 1 Baylor defeated second-ranked Oregon 281.350-275.475 at the Farrell Center in Waco, Texas.
Lane CC splits doubleheader
Jack Swisher totaled five hits as Lane Community College split a doubleheader against Yakima Valley in Corvallis. Yakima won the opener 13-8 before Ethan Hixson hit a three-run homer to help the Titans win the nightcap 9-2.
