Aaron Zavala's two-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning Saturday gave the Oregon baseball team a 3-2 win over Nevada for the second straight day at PK Park.
The Ducks improved to 2-4 after starting the season 0-4. Nevada fell to 0-5.
The Wolf Pack took a 2-0 lead in the top of the third inning on a two-run double to right field by Wyatt Tilley.
After Peyton Fuller allowed four hits and two earned runs in five innings, the Ducks got four shutout innings from their bullpen. Brett Walker went two innings to get the win before Nico Tellache and Hunter Breault threw a single scoreless inning apiece. Breault, who hasn't give up a run this season, earned the save by pitching the ninth inning.
Oregon chipped into the Nevada lead in the fourth when Anthony Hall's single scored Gabe Matthews to make it a 2-1 game.
In the sixth, Zavala's double scored Matthews and Kenyon Yovan.
Zavala went 2-for-3. The only other player in the game with more than one hit was Nevada DH Dillan Schrum, who was 2-for-3. Matthew had a double to go with his two runs.
