CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. — The No. 17 Oregon softball team picked up two more wins Friday at the Mary Nutter Classic with a 5-1 win over Notre Dame and a 13-0 win in five innings against Idaho State.

Oregon improved to 13-0 and will wrap up the tournament Saturday against No. 25 Northwestern.

In the win over Notre Dame, Haley Cruse's two-run triple in the top of the sixth inning broke open a close game to help give the Ducks the lead.

Oregon took a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning on an Ariel Carlson's RBI single before another run scored when Carlson scored when Jasmine Sievers reached on a fielder's choice.

Leea Hanks homered in the bottom of the inning to pull the Irish within 2-1.

Oregon benefited from five Notre Dame errors and scored two unearned runs in the sixth when Cruse tripled home Deijah Pangilinan and Sievers. Cruse then scored on a Terra McGowan groundout.

Jordan Dail went the distance in the circle, allowing seven hits, one earned run and no walks with three strikeouts.

Oregon dominated from the start in the romp over the Bengals with 16 hits, seven doubles and a home run. The Ducks scored three runs in the first, five in the second three in the third and two in the fifth.

Sievers was 3-for-3 with three RBIs and a double to lead the way. Lexi Wagner double, homered, drove in two runs and scored twice, Carlson had two double, two RBIs and two runs, Cruse was 2-for-2 with a double and three runs and Alle Bunker was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and two RBIs.

Brooke Yanez allowed two hits and one walk while striking out five over three innings to get the win and run her record to 6-0.
