DENVER — The Oregon lacrosse team scored first Friday, but it was all Denver after that as the No. 10 Pioneers handed the Ducks a 21-7 nonconference loss.
Jamie Level scored unassisted to give Oregon a 1-0 before Denver ran off eight straight goals for an 8-1 lead.
Hanna Hilcoff's back-to-back goals pulled the Ducks within 8-4 before Denver (3-0) ran off five more in a row to re-take control of the game at 13-5.
Hilcoff finished with three goals for the Ducks (1-3). Eliza Radochonski had four goals for the Pioneers and Bea Behrins added three. Hannah Liddy had five assists for the Denver.
