HOUSTON — The Oregon softball team rallied from a 2-1 deficit Friday to top Houston 4-2 and improve to 6-0 on the season.

The No. 21 Ducks led 1-0 after one inning on a Terra McGowan sacrifice fly before the Cougars (5-2) scored twice in the third inning for a 2-1 advantage.

The Ducks responded in the top of the fifth when Maya Felder hit a two-run homer to left-center for a 3-2 lead.

Former Marist High standout Ariel Carlson padded the lead in the sixth inning with a double to score McGowan.

Oregon outhit Houston 8-3 with Jasmine Sievers the only Duck with more than one hit as she went 2-for-3. Haley Cruse had the only other extra-base hit for the Ducks with a double.

Samaria Diaz improved to 2-0 in the circle with 4 2/3 innings of scoreless relief of Brooke Yanez. Diaz didn't allow a hit, walked two and struck out six.

Logan Hulon went the distance in the circle for the Cougars.
