PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico - The Oregon softball team finished up 5-0 at the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge by defeating Long Beach State 4-1 Sunday at Nancy Almaraz Stadium.

Haley Cruse went 2-for-3 with a run scored and Shaye Bowden went 2-for-3. Terra McGowan was 1-for-4 with two RBIs.

The Ducks scored a run in the first inning and added three more in the second.

Brooke Yanez improved to 3-0 by pitching four scoreless innings while allowing three hits. Samaria Diaz gave up a run in the fifth inning before Jordan Dail pitched two scoreless innings for the save.

LAS VEGAS - Oregon State improved to 4-1 with a 5-3 win over Cal State Northridge Sunday morning at Eller Media Stadium.

Mariah Mazon hit a two-run homer in the first inning and did not allow an earned run in the complete game victory. She allowed three hits while striking out seven.

Xiao Gin was 3-for-4 with a run scored and Missy Nunes had two hits and an RBI. Fallon Molnar had two Rbis and scored a run.
