WAIKOLOA, Hawaii — The Oregon men's golf team is in 12th place and Oregon State is in 14th place after the second round of the 20-team The Amer Ari Invitational at Waikoloa Kings Course.
After shooting a 6-under 282 during Thursday's opening, the Ducks shot a 3-over 291 Friday and is at 3-under 573 entering Saturday's final round.
The Beavers shot a 2-over 290 Friday and are at 1 under 575 for the tournament. Georgia Tech has the team lead at 33-under 543, five shots ahead of second-place Texas and five shots ahead of third-place Arizona State.
Oregon State's Kyosuke Hara is the top local golfer, tied for 31st place at 3-under 141. Oregon's Nate Stember and Craig Ronne are tied for 40th, along with Oregon State's Jackson Lake at 2-under 142. Ronne had one of the day's best rounds with a 6-under 68.
Georgia Tech's Tyler Strafaci is the individual leader at 13-under 131.
