Oregon baseball was picked to finish ninth in the Pac-12 in a preseason coaches poll.

The Ducks placed ninth last year at 10-19 under coach George Horton, who was replaced following the season by Mark Wasikowski. The Ducks finished eighth each year from 2016-18.

Oregon returns starting pitchers Cullen Kafka and Robert Ahlstrom while getting Kenyon Yovan back from injury. Infielders Gabe Matthews and Sam Novitske join outfielder Tanner Smith as the top returners in the lineup.

Oregon was picked to finish ahead of Utah and Washington State in the coaches poll.

Arizona State got seven-first place votes to be the conference favorite followed by UCLA, which got four first-place votes. Stanford is picked third followed by Arizona and Oregon State.

Washington is picked sixth while USC and California tied for seventh.
