The Oregon women’s basketball team’s reign atop the Associated Press poll is over.

At least for the time being.

The Ducks (6-1) dropped from No. 1 to No. 3 after losing 72-62 to Louisville in the Paradise Jam final on Saturday in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The Cardinals ascended from No. 8 to No. 2.

Another Pac-12 program, Stanford, replaced Oregon at No. 1 after receiving 23 of the 30 first-place votes.

Oregon State climbed to No. 5, the highest ranking in program history. UConn is sandwiched between the Civil War rivals at No. 4.

Rounding out the top 10 are South Carolina, Baylor, Florida State, Maryland and Mississippi State.

The Pac-12 has five teams in the top 25 with No. 11 UCLA and No. 20 Arizona off to 7-0 starts.

Oregon returns to action for a Sweet 16 rematch against South Dakota State on Sunday at Matthew Knight Arena (noon, Pac-12 Networks).
