PULLMAN, Wash. — The Oregon volleyball team couldn’t rally for more than a single set win Friday night and dropped a Pac-12 Conference match at No. 24 Washington State.

The Cougars won 25-17, 22-25, 25-22, 25-13.

Willow Johnson led the Ducks (5-9, 1-4 Pac-12) with 16 kills and helped spark the team to the second-set win, but the Ducks gave the Cougars, who have won just two of their past 25 matches, too long of a leash.

Washington State (14-3, 3-2 Pac-12) went on a 10-3 run in the first set and an 11-1 run in the fourth set and Oregon, despite a 6-2 run late in the fourth, couldn’t keep up.

Brooke Nuneviller notched her team-leading ninth double-double for the Ducks with 15 kills and 23 digs. Ronika Stone added 11 kills, Kylie Robinson had 35 assists and Georgia Murphy had 18 digs. Nuneviller, Stone and Robinson all had one ace each.

The loss is the team’s fourth in a row, all against ranked opponents. The Ducks face No. 11 Washington at 2 p.m. Saturday in Seattle.
