Oregon softball coach Melyssa Lombardi announced Thursday the addition of two players for the Ducks' 2020 roster in signing infielder Maddie Hopper and utility player Jazzy Contreras.

Hopper will be a redshirt junior for the Ducks after playing two years at Pacific. Contreras is a high school recruit out of California.

Hopper hit .293 for the Tigers last year with three home runs and 21 RBIs in starting 47 games. The native of Salem who played high school softball for West Salem and Western Mennonite, also hit .290 as a freshman in 2018 after redshirting the 2017 season.

Contreras hit .333 for her high school career. The San Ramon, Calif., native also competed this summer with the Sorcerer 18 Gold Williams club team at the Premier Girls Fastpitch National Championship.
