MIRAMAR, Fla. — Oregon men's hurdler Eric Edwards tied the meet record of 13.21 seconds Saturday in finishing second at U.S Track and Field Under 20 Championships.
Edwards finished second in 13.209 seconds, just behind Kentucky's Tai Brown, who clocked 13.204 seconds. Their times are rounded up to 13.21 to tie the meet record set by UCLA's Misana Viltz in 2015.
Jamar Marshall was just behind Brown and Edwards, finishing in 13.22.
Only Devon Allen (13.16) has run faster in Oregon history than Edwards, who shattered his personal record of 13.49 set earlier this year in a semifinal heat of the NCAA Championships. Edwards won his semifinal heat at the U20 meet earlier Saturday in a wind-aided 13.53.
