RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Oregon fell back to .500 on the season when UC Riverside defeated the Ducks 3-1 Monday afternoon.

The Ducks (27-27, 10-17) finish up the season with a three-game series against top-ranked UCLA (45-8, 22-5) beginning Thursday at PK Park.

Oregon's Sam Novitske walked to open the game before Spencer Steer singled him home. Gabe Matthews and Jonny DeLuca each walked to load the bases with one out before Evan Williams popped out and Jakob Goldfarb flew out to right field, ending the Ducks' threat.

UC Riverside (19-34) tied the game with a run in the first and went ahead with a run in the sixth before adding a run in the eighth inning.
