FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Oregon's Kathleen Scavo played just three holes Sunday but carded a birdie to continue a big climb up the leaderboard after the second round the NCAA women's golf championships at Blessings Golf Club.
Scavo finished the weather-delayed round at 3-under 70, which helped move her from a tie for 95th place into a tie for 33rd with a two-round total of 152. The final round of stroke play will be Monday after the tournament was cut from 72 holes to 54.
Oregon State's Ellie Slama was 5 over on her second round and is in 122th place at 166.
Florida's Sierra Brooks fired a 6-under 67 on Sunday and leads the field by a stroke at 4-under 142.
