PALOS VERDES, Calif. – Oregon State golfer Ellie Slama shot a 4-over 75 on Wednesday and finished tied for eighth place at the Pac-12 Women's Championship.
Slama, who was selected to the all-Pac-12 first team after setting a school record with her seventh top-10 finish this season, shot a three-round score of 4-over 217 and was the only Beaver in the top 40. OSU finished in 10th place out of 11 teams at 917, 66 strokes behind winner Southern California at 1-under 851. The Trojans were followed by Arizona (862), Arizona State (867) and Stanford (868).
Oregon finished seventh at 897 and was led by Amy Matsuoka, who finished tied for 24th at 223. Other Ducks included Kathleen Scavo (225), Petra Salko (226), Tze-Han Lin (230) and Alexis Phadungmartvorakul (230). ASU's Olivia Mehaffey won a playoff with Albane Valenzuela of Stanford to capture medalist honors after each tied for first at 4-under 209.
