SANTA CRUZ, Calif. — The Oregon men's golf team fell three spots Tuesday into a tie for fifth place after the second round of the the 73rd annual Western Intercollegiate at Pasatiempo Golf Club.

The Ducks were in second place after Monday's first round but struggled to a 9-over 359 on the 6,615-yard par 70 course Tuesday that left them at 7-over 707 for the tournament.

San Jose State is the only team under par at 1-under 699, one shot ahead of Stanford and six shots ahead of California and USC with Oregon and Pepperdine eight shots off the lead.

Oregon's Craig Ronne and Yin Ho Yue are seventh and tied for 11th, respectively, at 3-under 137 and even-par 140. Ronne shot a 70 Tuesday with Yue carding a 73. Kevin Geniza is tied for 15th at 1-over 141.

Stanford's Isaiah Salinda followed his first round of 64 with a 68 and has a three-shot lead over four others.
