LOS ANGELES — Oregon couldn't knock off No. 1 for the second game in a row.

The Ducks' softball team fell 8-3 Saturday to top-ranked UCLA after handing the Bruins their first home loss the previous night. The Bruins (36-2, 10-1 Pac-12) scored three runs in the third inning and five in the fourth, aided by three Oregon errors.

Jordan Dail (14-9) allowed four earned runs and took the loss. Kailey Krueger pitched three innings in relief and allowed three runs, all unearned.

UCLA's Rachel Garcia pitched a complete game to improve to 16-0. She allowed a run in the first inning on Allee Bunker's RBI single, but the Ducks (17-20, 2-9) didn't score again until Jasmine Sievers' two-run double in the fifth.

Sievers went 4-for-4, with Bunker and Haley Cruse each adding two hits. Bubba Nickles drove in three runs for the Bruins.

The deciding game of the series is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday and will be televised on ESPN2.
