LOS ANGELES — Oregon hit two home runs late in the game and then held on to knock off No. 1 UCLA, 4-3, on Friday in a Pac-12 softball game at Easton Stadium.
Trailing 2-0 heading into the sixth inning, the Ducks (17-19, 2-8 Pac-12) scored their first run on an RBI double by Jasmine Sievers that scored Haley Cruse. Next up was April Utecht who launched Oregon into the lead with a two-run homer to left field.

Rachel Cid then led off seventh with a homer to right center to put the Ducks up 4-2.
The Bruins (35-2, 9-1) pulled with a run on a solo homer by Bubba Nickles with two outs in the bottom of the seventh. Pinch hitter Rachel Garcia followed with a single to keep UCLA alive but Oregon pitcher Jordan Dail stayed composed and struck out Aaliyah Jordon swinging to end the game.
Dail (14-8) allowed six hits, four walks and had 12 strikeouts as she went the distance for the Ducks, who won for the fifth time in their last seven games.
Oregon State softball tops California
BERKELEY, Calif. — Oregon State had 11 hits, Mariah Mazon pitched a complete game and the Beavers snapped a nine-game Pac-12 losing streak with a 7-1 softball victory against California on Friday.
Shelby Weeks, Camryn Ybarra, Missy Nunes and Kayleen Shafer all had two hits each for the Beavers (20-14, 2-9 Pac-12), whose last conference win came March 15 against Arizona State in their first Pac-12 game of the season.
Oregon State scored a run in all but two innings Friday, starting in the first on a RBI double from Ybarra to set an early tone.
The only run scored by the Golden Bears (22-19, 1-11) was unearned and came in the bottom of the third.
Mazon (11-9) allowed hits, no walks and also struck out three.
