CORVALLIS — Oregon scored four runs in the top of the eighth inning to defeat Oregon State 12-8 Tuesday night in a nonconference baseball game at Goss Stadium.

The Ducks (19-12) snapped a 10-game losing streak to the seventh-ranked Beavers (23-7-1).

OSU scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game 8-8 before Oregon went back ahead in the eighth.

Cameron Campbell walked with two outs before Taylor Adams was hit by a pitch. Sam Novitske singled in a run before Tanner Smith hit a two-run single.

Spencer Steer capped the inning with a single that scored Smith.

Oregon took the lead with five runs in the first inning when Smith doubled and went to third on a single by Steer. Gabe Matthews reached on a fielder's choice as Smith scored.

Jonny DeLuca singled in a run before Aaron Zavala hit a two-run double. Campbell singled in Zavala to cap the inning.

OSU got two runs in the bottom of the first before Oregon added three runs in the third.

Matthews singled and Evan Williams walked before Zavala doubled in Matthews. Campbell singled in Williams before Max Foxcroft hit a sacrifice fly.

Adley Rutschman hit a three-run homer to get OSU within 8-5 in the fourth inning.
