NAPA, Calif. — Oregon climbed from eighth to fifth in the team standings during Monday's second round of the Silverado Showdown women's golf tournament at the Silverado Resort and Spa.

The Ducks shot an 8-over 296 on Monday and are 17-over and 17 strokes behind leaders Northwstern heading into Tuesday's final round.

Kathleen Scavo had a big second round for Oregon, moving up 27 spots on the individual leader board to sixth after shooting a 2-under 70 in her second round. The senior had just one bogey on Monday to go with three birdies, including back-to-back birdies at No. 3 and No. 4. The 2-under was tied for the third best round of the day.

Fellow senior Petra Salko fell back in the standings, going from third to 16th after shooing a 5-over 77 in her second round.

Amy Matsuoka and Tze-Han Lin are both in a 12-way tie for 37th place at 8-over, and Alexis Phadungmartvorakul is tied for 54th at plus-10.
