Jessica Hull's impressive outdoor season debut didn't go unnoticed.
The Oregon junior was named the Pac-12 women's track athlete of the week Tuesday in recognition of her performance during the Stanford Invitational meet last Friday.
Hull posted a personal-best time of 15 minutes, 34.93 seconds and established an NCAA-leading time during her win in the invitational section of the 5,000 meters. Her effort was also the third-fastest time in the world this year and fourth-fastest in Oregon history.
The reigning NCAA outdoor champion in the 1,500 also won an NCAA indoor title in the 3,000 last month and anchored the Ducks' win in the distance medley relay.
Oregon's outdoor season continues this weekend with athletes at a pair of different meets. The Sun Angel Classic in Tempe, Ariz., is Friday and Saturday, and the John Knight Twilight hosted by Western Oregon is Friday night.
