STANFORD, Calif. — The Oregon men's golf team shot 10-over par Saturday and finished in ninth place after the final round of The Goodwin tournament at Stanford Golf Course.
The host Cardinal overpowered the 27-team field and finished at 8-under 832, 18 strokes ahead of second-place USC. Stanford owned three of the top six golfers, including the top two finishers of Brandon Wu and David Snyder, who tied at 4-under 206. Wu won medalist honors in a playoff.
The top Oregon player was Ryan Gronlund, who struggled with a 6-over 76 on Saturday and dropped 13 spots to finish tied for 16th at 214. Yin Ho Yue finished tied for 45th at 218.
