STANFORD, Calif. — The Oregon softball team remained winless in the Pac-12 Conference on Friday as Stanford scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to rally for an 8-6 win over the Ducks.

Oregon led 4-0 in the top of the first inning when Allee Bunker launched a grand slam for her first collegiate home run.

Jasmine Sievers had a solo homer in the fifth and Rachel Cid added a solo shot in the sixth for the Ducks (12-17, 0-7), but Oregon couldn't hold a 5-3 lead after 4 1/2 innings.

Emily Schultz walked with the bases loaded to start the scoring barrage for the Cardinal (24-4, 3-0) in the bottom of the fifth inning. Pinch-hitter Kate Cressey was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to make it a 5-5 game before Teaghan Cowles and Emily Klingaman came through with run-scoring singles in the five-run outburst.

Cowles finished 3-for-4 for Stanford, and Klingaman, Hannah Howell and Emily Young all added two hits for the Cardinal.

Bunker and Haley Cruse had two hits apiece for Oregon.

Oregon State falls to Washington

SEATTLE — The Oregon State softball team dropped its sixth straight Pac-12 Conference game Friday with a 5-2 loss at No. 7 Washington.

The Huskies (27-6, 4-3 Pac-12) scored twice in the first and third innings for a 4-0 lead powered by an Oregon State (17-11, 1-6) throwing error, an RBI groundup from Taryn Atlee and RBI singles from Sami Reynolds and Kaija Gibson.

Oregon State's two runs came on solo homers from Missy Nunes in the fourth inning and Kayleen Shafer in the seventh.

Washington pitcher Gabbie Plain improved to 11-1 by allowing seven hits and no walks while striking out eight in going the distance in the circle. Oregon State pitcher Meehra Nelson also went the distance, allowing seven hits and two walks while striking out one.
