STANFORD, Calif. — The Oregon men's golf team fell two spots Friday to a tie for seventh place after the second round of The Goodwin at the Stanford Golf Course.

The Ducks, who were tied for fifth after Thursday's first round, shot a 10-over 290 on Friday and are tied with BYU for seventh at 577 for the tournament on the 6,758-yard par-70 course.

Stanford leads the team race at 2-under 558, seven shots ahead of second-place USC and eight shots ahead of third-place California in the 27-team event.

Oregon's Ryan Gronlund, tied for 11th after the first round, shot a 2-under 68 and moved into a tie for third at 138, three shots off the lead set by USC's Kaito Onishi.

However, the rest of the Ducks struggled. Kevin Geniza, tied for 40th at 5-over 145 after a second-round 74, is the only other Oregon player in the top 55.
