Oregon is taking a small group to the Stanford Invitational track and field meet this weekend, but the Ducks are bringing their heavy hitter.

Junior Jessica Hull is expected to make her outdoor season debut Friday in the women’s invitational 5,000 meters.

The reigning NCAA outdoor champion in the 1,500 is weeks removed from an indoor season that ended with national titles in the 3,000 and distance medley relay. Her race Friday will also include Allie Ostrander of Boise State, the 2018 NCAA champion in the steeplechase and an all-American in the 5,000.

Hull is one of six members of the Oregon distance team competing for the Ducks in Stanford. All six are in races scheduled for Friday night.

Redshirt junior Susan Ejore is entered in the invitational section of the 1,500, and redshirt senior Philly Bowden and redshirt junior Carmela Cardama Baez are entered in the 10,000 invitational.

Other Oregon entries include junior Amanda Gehrich, who is making her career debut in a section of the 3,000 steeplechase, and freshman Taylor Chiotti, who is in a section of the 1,500.
