HONOLULU, Hawaii - Jakob Goldfarb hit a three-run double in the top of the eighth inning to lead Oregon to a 4-3 win over Hawaii Saturday night.
The Ducks won their second straight game to improve to 9-4.
Oregon trailed 3-1 entering the eighth when Sam Novitske and Spencer Steer each singled before Gabe Matthews walked with one out. Goldfarb followed with a double to left that put the Ducks into the lead.
Reliever Nico Tellache allowed two hits in two scoreless innings for his third save.
Hawaii (8-7) scored twice in the first inning off Oregon starter Ryne Nelson, who allowed four hits in four innings.
Oregon got a run in the fifth when Goldfarb reached on a single and Aaron Zavala singled. Kyle Froemke drove in Goldfarb on a ground out.
UO reliever Jack Noble gave up a run in the fifth inning before Keaton Chase pitched two scoreless innings for the win.
Novitske had two of Oregon’s seven hits.
