LA QUINTA, Calif. — The Oregon men's golf team finished in fifth place Wednesday at The Prestige at the Greg Norman Course at PGA West.

The Ducks shot a 11-over 295 Wednesday to finish the three-round tournament at 17-over 869.

LSU ran away with the team title at 14-under 838 and had Wednesday's best round of 279. The Tigers finished the tournament six shots ahead of runner-up Oklahoma State. Pepperdine was third at 857 and UCLA was fourth at 866. Oregon finished seven strokes ahead of Iowa State and Stanford, who tied for sixth.

Oregon was led by Ryan Gronlund, who finished 10th at even-par 213 after a final round of 73. Oregon's Edwin Yi shot a 71 Wednesday and tied for 11th at 214. Kevin Geniza shot a 72 in the final round and tied for 24th at 219 and Yin Ho Yue shot a 79 in the final round and tied for 43rd at 223.

Oklahoma State's Viktor Hovland won the individual title with a 205, rallying Wednesday with a 66 to pass Stanford's Brandon Wu, who shot a 71 and finished second at 206.
