LAS VEGAS — The Oregon women fired the second-best round of the day, a 6-over 294, and finished in fourth place at the Rebel Beach Invitational golf tournament Tuesday at Spanish Trail Country Club.
The Ducks finished the two-day three-round event at 895, 17 strokes behind winner Arizona at 878. The Wildcats were followed by host UNLV (882), Virginia (892), Oregon (895) and San Jose State (898) in the 16-team tournament.
Individually, Oregon's Amy Matsuoka shot a three-round total of 3-over 219 and tied for third overall, her highest career finish. Matsuoka was 10 strokes off the pace of medalist Elizabeth Prior of UNLV, who won her second consecutive tournament this season.
Tze-Han Lin (226) tied for 20th and Kathleen Scavo (230) tied for 32nd for the Ducks.
