WAIKOLOA, Hawaii — Oregon's Edwin Yi made a run at the top of the leaderboard but couldn't keep pace with Oklahoma State's Matthew Wolff in the final round at the Amer Ari Invitational golf tournament Saturday on the Waikoloa Kings' Course.
Yi shot a 3-under 69 and finished tied for second with Oklahoma State's Zach Bauchou at 15-under 201. Wolff won medalist honors after firing a 7-under 65 for a 198.
Sam Foust tied for sixth (204) and Ryan Gronlund tied for 12th (209) as the Ducks finished tied for fourth place in the team standings with USC at 834. Oklahoma State won the team title at 817, Auburn was second (827) and Texas third (829).
Oregon State, led by Spencer Tibbits and Sean Kato each at 4-under 212, finished tied for eighth at 851.
