Oregon’s Kenyon Yovan and Oregon State’s Adley Rutschman and Kevin Abel were among 55 players named to the watch list for the Golden Spikes Award given to the nation’s top amateur player.

Yovan, a junior pitcher, is a two-time, all-Pac-12 player who went 6-4 with a 2.98 ERA and five saves last season. He has been named to three preseason All-American teams.

Rutschman batted .408 with nine homers and 83 RBIs while leading Oregon State to the national championship. He was named most outstanding player at the College World Series after getting a record 17 hits in Omaha.

Abel set the CWS record with four wins to finish his freshman season 8-1 with a 2.88 ERA.
