CORVALLIS — The No. 17-ranked Oregon volleyball team took care of business Saturday by defeating Oregon State in four sets in the regular-season finale for both teams at Gill Coliseum.
Now the Ducks must wait.
Oregon, which finished tied with USC for second place in the Pac-12 standings, climbed into the top 16 in the RPI rankings after its victory over Washington last week and hopes that'll be good enough to earn a home-court bid for the opening rounds of the NCAA Tournament.
The NCAA selection show will be at 5:30 p.m. Sunday and televised by ESPNU.
The Ducks downed the Beavers 19-25, 25-18, 25-16, 25-14 on Saturday and finished 20-10 overall and 13-7 in conference play. The tie for second place equals the best conference finish in the program's history. Oregon State fell to 11-21 and 1-19.
Willow Johnson led the Ducks with 14 kills on .324 hitting, and Ronika Stone finished with 11 kills, eight blocks and five digs. Lindsey Vander Weide had 10 kills and 20 digs while August Raskie added 39 assists and 13 digs. Oregon finished with 13.5 blocks to Oregon State's three.
Oregon State, meanwhile, was paced by Amy Underdown with 19 kills and 10 digs, Maddie Sheehan with 34 assists and Grace Massey with 30 digs.
