BERKELEY, Calif. — Whether it was Lindsey Vander Weide, Taylor Borup or Willow Johnson delivering kills, California couldn't handle Oregon's attack as the No. 17 Ducks swept the host Golden Bears in a Pac-12 Conference volleyball match Saturday.
Oregon (17-9, 10-6 Pac-12), which was coming off a loss at No. 2 Stanford, beat Cal 25-23, 25-15, 26-24.
Vander Weide belted 16 kills on .343 hitting and added 13 digs for her 10th double-double of the season. She also finished with three blocks and two aces. Borup recorded a double-double as well with 12 kills and 10 digs, while Johnson had 11 kills and Ronika Stone added eight kills and three blocks. The Ducks finished with a .310 hitting percentage.
August Raskie dished off 44 assists for the Ducks and Brooke Nuneviller led the team with 22 digs.
California (14-13, 6-10) was paced by Mima Mirkovic with 17 kills and Isabel Potter with 35 assists.
Oregon, which is attempting to secure a home site for the first round of the NCAA Tournament, will play host to Colorado at 7 p.m. Wednesday and Utah at 7 p.m. Friday.
