Recent developments: Three-star junior linebacker Caleb Johnson (Fullerton College) has decided to lock in his official visit to Oregon when the Ducks play host to Arizona State next weekend. Oregon offered a scholarship to Johnson last month and he is high on both the Ducks and Texas. A verbal commitment for either school could come shortly after Johnson makes his Eugene visit ... Kayvon Thibodeaux (Thousand Oaks, Calif.), the nation's No. 1 overall recruit in the class of 2019, pushed back an official visit to Florida last weekend to this weekend. He is also considering taking an official visit to USC between now and his expected commitment date of Dec. 14. Oregon has become the assumed leader for his commitment the last few weeks after Florida State's season has gone south with multiple blowout losses ... Jordan Botelho (St. Louis High, Honolulu), a 2020 four-star linebacker, and high school teammate Darrell Masaniai, a 2020 three-star linebacker, made unexpected unofficial visits to Oregon this past weekend when the Ducks played UCLA. Botelho is ranked as one of the top linebackers in the country for his class and has an offer from Oregon. The Ducks have not offered a scholarship to Masaniai ... Four-star safety and Oregon commit Jeremiah Criddell (Santa Ana, Calif.) will make an official visit to Oklahoma this weekend. Oregon is planning to bring him in for an official visit in December.

Looking ahead: Johnson is the only known recruit schedule to visit during the ASU weekend, but the visitors' list should increase because that will be Oregon's final home game of the season ... Four-star defensive tackle Stephon Wright (Los Angeles) was on campus last weekend for an official visit and says he's now down to Arizona State, Oregon and Washington. He is unofficially visiting Arizona State in the next three weeks and then will decide on a school shortly after.
