Marissa Everett scored a goal in each half and the Oregon women's soccer team attained its best record in the past 10 years with a 2-0 shutout of rival Oregon State on Friday at Papè Field.

Everett scored in the 35th minute from 21 yards out on an assist by Zoe Hasenauer, and followed that up with a goal in the 61st minute when she tipped in a cross by Bayley Bruner from the left side.

"When you play in the Civil War, you have to throw out all statistics," Everett said in a news release. "It's about who wants it more, grit, and all-out attitude. I think we came out today with all of those boxes checked; every single person wanted it, and we got the result."

The Ducks finish the season 9-9-1 overall and 3-8-0 in Pac-12 play while the Beavers end their season 2-17-0 and 1-10-0.

Oregon State outshot Oregon 14-12, but the Ducks had more shots on goal at 6-4. Everett had three of UO's shots on goal with the others coming from Emma Eddy, Nicole Seaman and Hasenauer. Halla Hinriksdottir made four saves in goal for her ninth win of the season, tying UO's single-season record.

Sydney Studer, who took six of the Beavers' 14 shots, and Diana Santiago each had two shots on goal for Oregon State.
