Oregon’s upcoming track and field season will include no meets in Eugene as the Hayward Field remodel progresses towards an expected finish in the spring of 2020.
However, there will still be a couple of chances to watch the Ducks compete without leaving the state.
Oregon announced its 2019 indoor and outdoor track schedule on Tuesday, which includes a slate of 18 meets between the two seasons, beginning indoors in Seattle at the UW Preview on Jan. 12 and ending June 5-8 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Austin, Texas.
It also includes the OSU High Performance meet in Corvallis on April 26-27, and the Portland Twilight at Lewis & Clark University on Friday, May 3 — which is at the point of the outdoor season normally reserved for the traditional Oregon Twilight meet at Hayward Field.
A week later, on May 11-12, the Pac-12 championship meet will take place in Tucson, Ariz., where the Oregon men will attempt to win their 13th straight conference title.
Other dates of note include the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation championships Feb. 22-23 in Seattle and the NCAA Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Ala., on March 8-9, followed by the Stanford Invitational on March 29-30, the Mt. SAC Relays in Torrance, Calif., on April 18-20 and the NCAA West Preliminary meet May 23-25 in Sacramento.
