STANFORD, Calif. — Oregon's Daniela Nasser and Shweta Sangwan each won a pair of singles matches Friday to advance to the round of 32 at the ITA Northwest Regional tennis tournament.

Nasser defeated Louise Waite of Eastern Washington, 6-4, 6-0, and Liesl Pieters of St. Mary's, 6-3, 6-2. Sangwan downed Rylee Braden of Eastern Washington, 6-2, 6-0, and California's Jasie Dunk 6-4, 6-0.

Oregon's Julia Eshet beat Susanne Boyden of Cal Poly, 6-2, 2-6, 6-2, but lost to Maria Kozyreva, 7-6 (4), 6-4. In doubles, Eshet and Sangwan had a first-day bye and will begin play Saturday.
