Oregon could be without its starting left tackle for the remainder of the regular season.

Coach Mario Cristobal announced Tuesday that freshman Penei Sewell is expected to miss six weeks with a high ankle injury suffered Saturday against Washington.

"Penei is a relentless competitor and I have no doubt he'll return better than ever," Cristobal said in a release.

Sewell, the top-rated recruit in Oregon's 2018 class, started the first six games at left tackle.
