Oregon moved closer to solidifying a top-five recruiting class for 2019 by landing a commitment from four-star linebacker Jared Casey.
Casey, listed at 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds, is a product of Ballard High School in Louisville, Ky. He also had offers from Kentucky, Wisconsin, Louisville and Cincinnati, according to 247Sports.
"I thank everyone involved in my recruiting process, especially the Ville and Kentucky!" Casey wrote on Twitter. "With that being said, I am super excited to announce I'm committing to the University of Oregon!!"
Oregon's 2019 class is ranked fourth nationally behind only Alabama, Texas A&M and Georgia, according to 247Sports. The Ducks now have commitments from a trio of four-star linebackers: Casey, Mase Funa from Mater Dei High School in Southern California, and Ge'mon Eaford from Deerfield Beach, Fla.
