Oregon’s Ugo Amadi has been named the Pac-12 defensive player of the week after making two interceptions during last Saturday’s 42-24 victory at California.
The senior safety returned his second interception for a 32-yard touchdown with 3:02 remaining in the fourth quarter to seal the Ducks’ first conference road win since 2016. Amadi was also second on the team with a career-high seven tackles.
Arizona State running back Eno Benjamin, who scored four touchdowns during the Sun Devils’ 52-24 win over Oregon State, is the offensive player of the week. USC’s Marvell Tell received the honors for special teams after blocking a field goal in the Trojans’ 24-20 win at Arizona.
Amadi is the first Oregon player to receive a Pac-12 player of the week award this season.
