Recent developments: Oregon offered a scholarship to three-star defensive end Smith Vilbert this week. Vilbert is a 6-foot-7, 250-pound prospect who plays prep football in Montvale, N.J. He is a two-sport star in high school and has offers to play basketball at the lower college level. Vilbert will officially visit the Ducks later in the season and plans to make his college commitment after his senior season ... Four-star cornerback Max Williams (Gardena, Calif.) was going to visit the Ducks this weekend but has been forced to push it back later into the year. Williams tore his ACL earlier this season and was scheduled for surgery Friday ... Four-star defensive tackle Siaki Ika (Salt Lake City) locked in his official visit to Oregon for Nov. 3. He'll also visit LSU in October, unofficially Utah, and is working on setting up a visit to Ohio State ... Oregon is expected to host just unofficial in-state visitors for Saturday's game against San Jose State...

Looking ahead: Four-star defensive end Braylen Ingraham (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) recently put the Ducks in his top five. Alabama, Florida, Kentucky and Miami also made the cut. Ingraham will visit the Ducks on Oct. 13 for an official visit ... Logan Sagapolu (Lehi, Utah), the west region's top-rated center, will officially visit the Ducks some time in November or December. He plans to make his commitment Jan. 19 ... Four-star wide receiver Kyle Ford (Orange, Calif.) is expected to visit the Ducks in October for the Washington game, or potentially for the UCLA game in November. Washington is thought to be the leader for Ford.
