Oregon moved up to No. 20 in this week’s Associated Press poll released Sunday following its 62-14 victory over Portland State.
The Ducks, who were ranked No. 23 last week, will be heavy favorites again on Saturday against 0-2 San Jose State before hosting No. 9 Stanford in the Pac-12 opener on Sept. 22.
The Cardinal climbed ahead of No. 10 Washington in the poll after a 17-3 win over USC. Stanford will tune-up for the trip to Eugene with a home game against UC Davis this Saturday.
Other Pac-12 teams ranked by the AP are No. 22 USC and No. 23 Arizona State. Utah is the top team in the “others receiving votes” category.
Oregon also makes its season debut in the coaches poll, checking in at No. 23.
