Bayley Bruner and Emma Eddy each scored as Oregon defeated Dartmouth 2-0 in women’s soccer Friday night at Pape Field.

Bruner scored from five yards out in the 18th minute off a cross from Marissa Everett.

“I saw Marissa get it on the flank,” said Bruner. “She's amazing, so I was just trying to run my butt off and she played me a perfect ball and I just tapped it in.”

Eddy made it 2-0 in the 66th minute off an assist from Eden Hardy, the second connection between the two this season.

“I liked that we scored two goals,” UO coach Kat Mertz said. “They were pretty nice goals. … And not giving up any, so I’ll take that.

The Ducks (3-1-1), who outshot Dartmouth 12-2, return home to face Gonzaga on Sunday.

"Sundays are when championships are won, so it’ll be gritty and we have to win the physical battles,” Bruner said.
